Shopify & Shopify Plus
Everything a store
needs, one team.
Build, migrate, convert, integrate and maintain — eight Shopify specialisms held by the same engineers, so nothing gets handed to a subcontractor and quietly dropped.
The services
Eight specialisms.
Most brands need two or three of these, not all eight. The list exists so you can point at the thing you actually need instead of buying a bundle around it.
Where to start
The first engagement, by situation.
Picking the wrong starting point is the most expensive mistake in commerce work — a rebuild that fixes nothing, or a testing programme on a store with no traffic. Here is how we would route you.
The store is live and getting traffic
Start with conversion work, not a rebuild. You find out where revenue is leaking before you spend on a redesign that changes a hundred variables at once and tells you nothing.
- Analytics validation first — most stores are reading broken data
- Funnel and drop-off analysis across the real journeys
- A prioritized backlog scored by impact and effort
- Shopify CRO, or a one-off audit if you want the findings alone
You are on another platform
Start with migration. Replatforming touches everything downstream, so doing conversion or integration work first means doing it twice.
- Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or a custom build
- URL mapping and redirects planned before anything moves
- Data integrity checked record by record, not spot-checked
- Shopify Migration
You have outgrown standard Shopify
Start with Plus. The trigger is a feature you cannot get — checkout logic, multiple storefronts, native B2B — not a revenue number.
- Checkout extensibility and Shopify Functions
- Multi-store, markets and expansion stores
- Scripts rebuilt as Functions where legacy logic remains
- Shopify Plus Development
Nobody owns the store day to day
Start with support. A store with no owner does not fail suddenly — it degrades for months while apps update, scripts accumulate and deadlines pass unnoticed.
- Audit of theme, apps, integrations and performance first
- Monitoring, updates and platform-deadline tracking
- A monthly block of development time for the backlog
- Shopify Maintenance & Support
How we work
Audit first. Always.
Every engagement starts the same way, because recommending work before looking at the store is how agencies end up selling what they like building rather than what you need.
Store Audit
Theme and code quality, app stack, integrations, Core Web Vitals, analytics accuracy, and the funnel as it actually performs. You get the findings and the priority order whether or not you go further.
Week 1Scope & Sequence
The findings become a plan with an order to it. Foundations that cap everything above them get fixed first — there is no point testing headlines on a store whose tracking disagrees with itself.
Week 1–2Build or Optimize
The work itself, scoped and priced before it starts. Development happens in a staging environment with QA at every stage, not on your live store on a Friday.
Per scopeLaunch & Verify
Redirects, analytics, schema, feeds and integrations all confirmed working after go-live rather than assumed. Launch day is when verification starts, not when it ends.
LaunchOwn It
Monitoring, monthly development capacity and a roadmap that keeps moving. The alternative is a store that was excellent on launch day and is quietly worse every month after.
OngoingWhy Atlas
The handoff is where stores break.
Most commerce problems are not hard to diagnose. They are hard to get fixed, because the agency that found them cannot change the code and the developer who can has other priorities.
One team, whole stack
The engineer who writes the theme, the strategist who reads the funnel and the developer who builds the integration are in the same company. Findings turn into commits instead of tickets.
Marketing sits next to engineering
Atlas runs paid media, email and SEO as well. What the ads learn about your customers reaches the people building the product page, rather than being rediscovered twice at your expense.
Native implementation
Winning changes get built in Liquid, Shopify Functions or checkout extensions — not layered on with third-party scripts that slow the store and break at the next app update.
Scoped and priced before it starts
Build and migration work is fixed-scope and fixed-price after discovery. You get the number before anything begins, and changes to it are a conversation, not an invoice.
Honest about fit
We talk brands out of headless, out of apps and out of Plus more often than we sell them. An engagement that should not have happened is worse for us than one we did not win.
No lock-in
Ongoing work is month to month. Retainers are the easiest thing in this industry to quietly underdeliver on, so the only honest version is one you can leave.
Shopify work is scoped per engagement — a 200-SKU theme build and a 40,000-SKU replatform with an ERP behind it are not the same project. See pricing for how we structure everything else.
Our thinking, published
Written from the work.
If you want to judge the expertise before a call, read the technical posts rather than the case studies. It is harder to fake.
FAQ
Shopify questions.
A Shopify agency designs, builds, migrates and optimizes stores on Shopify and Shopify Plus, then keeps them running. In practice that covers theme and headless development, replatforming from another system, conversion work, B2B and wholesale setup, integrations with the systems the business already runs on, and ongoing maintenance. Atlas does all of it with one team rather than handing pieces to subcontractors.
No — Atlas also builds custom software, runs paid media, does creative and handles SEO. But Shopify is where our commerce work lives, and it is the platform we recommend for almost every DTC and wholesale brand we speak to. If Shopify is genuinely the wrong fit for your model, we will say so.
If the store is live and getting traffic, start with CRO or an audit — you find out what is leaking before you spend on a rebuild. If you are on another platform, start with migration. If you have outgrown standard Shopify limits on checkout, markets or B2B, start with Plus. If nobody owns the store day to day, start with maintenance.
We build on Shopify Plus regularly and work inside the Plus feature set daily — checkout extensibility, Functions, Flow, multi-store and B2B. We do not display partner badges or third-party award ratings on this site. Ask us on a call what we have shipped and we will walk you through it directly.
Build and migration work is fixed-scope and fixed-price after discovery, so you know the number before anything starts. CRO and maintenance run monthly. Integrations are usually fixed-price for the first connector and monthly after that, because a feed nobody monitors is a feed that eventually breaks.
